Hello RC logger team, the xtreme is much fun to fly. I do it every day. I would like to fly in expert mode but i am afraid to crash it and then again have to buy and change the main frame because its broken. Good idea to delelop aluminium motor mounts. What about a aluminium main frame? This thing is also a very weak part.

Within 24 hours of receiving my xtreme and after about 20 min of flight time one of the propellers flew off while the unit was about 40 ft in the air sending into a nasty fall. One props completely missing, one broken and a dislodged motor that now wants to work its way out of the motor mount while flying. Disappointed so far and about to order replacement parts after less than 3 days of owning it.[re][title]Reply from RCLogger Team on 05.08.2014:[/title]Dear Marsha.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Propellers are secured by each, one individual spinner and rubber washer. These need to be pre-flight checked before every flight to ensure that the spinner and washer sits well on the propeller mounting shaft. Make sure to pay extra attention before your next flight. Spinners are prone to become lose and need to be checked from time to time, especially at first flight or after changing propellers. We are sure that you will enjoy the Xtreme’s performance and flight characteristics. Please replace the defective motor mount and 4 propellers before you attempt your next flight.

This quadcopter even with the newest firmware has issues. On the firmware before the most recent, I had auto flip troubles and the gyro tended to just go out in mid flight sending it spiraling in to the ground. Quite embarrassing when it happens at a fly in at the AMA field. Also I'll have to echo what other reviewers have said, brittle props, poorly designed motor mounts, Now I'm on the newest firmware and I have two motors that will not disarm. This quadcopter is rife with issues, so buyer beware.%[re][title]Reply from RCLogger Team on 29.07.2014:[/title]Dear Craig.

Product enhancements are constantly being made. The previous firmware, as you mentioned, is no longer available on newly shipped Xtreme products (all versions) from July 14 onwards. This issue was however not in any way related to gyro behavior but to interference and missing rf signals which caused the unit to miss control commands. This has been fully resolved by releasing firmware V31 adding relevant rf filters. V2 motor mounts are available as red/black CNC aluminum parts or as composite plastic parts. The previous version holds motors well on most units and may fail on rare occasions. This issue has been addressed and resolved. For remaining issues, kindly contact our professional support center at [a href="http://support.rclogger.com"]http://support.rclogger.com[/a] and request a service ticket. Your reported issue stands in no relationship with the V31 firmware release.

Thank you for sharing your feedback which helps to improve our high quality products.[/re]

The product design is good and it flies well. Very fun to fly and plenty powerful. I will repeat what others have said and that is the props and motor mounts are too delicate. I just had to order new motor mounts from RC Logger ($4.50) which is ok, but they also charged $8.19 shipping to Texas! These parts probably weigh about 1/8 oz (maybe 4 grams). The shipping charges are crazy. Just hope I don't need may more replacement parts!

Flew great for about 3 weeks then spontaneously 2 motors failed to ever start again. Apparently There's a FC board issue still awaiting updates. Would avoid this quad until they prove the issues have been resolved![re][title]Reply from RCLogger Team on 07.07.2014:[/title]
Dear Armand.

Thank you for your comments. V31 firmware- and hardware- upgrade has fully fixed this randomly known issue which previously affected a limited number of customers. Affected users should open a support ticket via our support section. The RC community has generally endorsed the V31 mod. We encourage you to open a support ticket so that we can provide you with the help you need.[/re]
