    Props....

    Hi
Other than the RC Logger brand props that come with the EOX what other
brands will mount and work on the stock setup?

The HQ6045 fit and will give you more lift in case you want to attach a camera and reduses the 'jello' effect. Also the Gemfan 5030 will fit but won't give you as much lift as the HQ6045.

    Hi,

I'm experimenting with several props on my EOX.
The Gemfan 6030 fit, but give only lift in de sports mode.
Now I search for a 3D scan file off the original 150x45 props. I'ld like to copy them with ABS on a 3D printer. Who can help me??

    Question on the 6045 props.
I see they come with inserts.
However I do not see a picture that shows the bottom of the prop.
So are the holes round all the way through? Is there a hex opening on the other side
to mate that of the Extreme?
Also I see so many quads out there that have these cone shaped screws on them.
What size are the threads and what should I order providing I want to move
    to this cone shaped fastener?

    Sorry to keep bugging everyone.
What pitch are the factory props at now?

    Factory props are 5.43 X 4

    The 150mm factory props are 5.91 x 4

    5.5" x 4 or 6" x 4 should be a close match.

I'm using the HQ6045 with the inserts with the biggest hole without any further modification. It's tighten enough and the original screw is perfectly holding it in center position. No vibrations observed so far.

Pictures attached are showing the mounted HQ6045. Hope it's detailed enough.

I put the same ones on but they don't look quite as good as yours. Can you show me or tell me how it was done?

Step by step instruction on how to put the HQ6045 props on the EOX

    1) break out the inserts with the biggest hole and put them into the bottom side of the prop

The disadvantage of this is that the insert is tightened to the shaft. If the prop gets blocked the motor might continue to spin and the screw might get released. I had this once during flight when i hit a long thick grass (yep, i did some low attitude flights ;-)

The better option is to put the inserts on top of the prop as i did it with the HQ Triple Props 5x4x3 (this ones have slightly lower thrust compared to the 6045 but have smaller diameter).

    1) After breaking out the inserts with the biggest hole first put the prop on the shaft

I just figured out that there are HQ Triple Props 6x4.5x3 available. Maybe they have more thrust than the HQ6045.
Will give it a try in the coming days.
