RC Logger EYE One Xtreme - Ventilated Canopy Mod

For this mod, I simply drilled a number of holes into the plastic canopy of the EOX.

I've found that it helps keep temperatures under control as more airflow is allowed, and it also seems to have helped with the stability of the barometric pressure sensor. Mine would drift pretty drastically up and down prior to doing this mod, so that was a nice bonus.

(Please remove canopy before performing this mod. Also make sure to leave the foam square covering the barometric pressure sensor in place)

    Thanks for sharing Saijin,

Glad to hear it has offered an improvement for you on your unit.

The correct way to accomplish this is to throw a canopy in the air and shoot it with a shotgun shell. The shot will put multiple holes in the canopy giving it better airflow.

Just kidding please no one try my above statement!!!! lol

Haha, I think a little birdshot would likely ventilate it quite nicely.

I still think my pattern looks better

Is this potentially a go for the "Green Zone"?

I think the risk of negative effects is basically nil provided people do the drilling with the cover OFF the EOX.

    Hey Saijin,

    Agreed. Will add.
